Our People
Heathfield House nursing home is managed by an experienced nursing Manager who has worked with older people for several years. She is supported by a team of nurses, qualified carers and professional administrate staff.
All our staff receive regular training updates and have been employed via a thorough recruitment process which includes references, police checks and interviews.
Nursing Home Services
Heathfield House focuses on providing a safe, homely environment where each resident is treated as an individual, with their social, spiritual, cultural, emotional and physical needs being assessed and met by our competent nursing team. We provide emphasis on promoting independence, privacy, respect and well-being.
There is an activities program and there are visits from various external musicians, singers, entertainers and regular services provided by the local clergy. The care home, located in the beautiful Oxfordshire countryside, also has a large garden in which residents can relax, entertain visitors and where some activities can be carried out weather permitting. We also benefit from a hairdresser and Chiropodist who visits regularly.
Heathfield House provides a well-balanced, nutritious menu and homemade cakes for the residents to enjoy; any special diets can also be catered for.
Our Nursing Home Services Include:
- Nursing – We offer 24-Hour personal support to those with a condition that requires frequent specialised, qualified nursing care. We also offer dementia care.
- Residential – Provides accommodation, meals and personal care for those who find it increasingly difficult to cope at home without assistance.
- Respite – Short stays offering round the clock care in a safe, comfortable environment. Perfect for carers who are ill, on holiday or just need a break.
Our Manager
I’ve been working as a Registered Manager for over seven years in social care with other care providers.
My nursing background is acute surgery within the main hospitals in Oxford which I thoroughly enjoyed.
I have a positive outlook whilst at work and ensuring that we put our residents at the heart of everything. I ensure that we all work towards Heathfield House values of Caring, Passionate and Teamwork.
There are challenges I face within this role, I strive to find solutions to each challenge which ultimately, results in seeing residents enjoying life here at Heathfield House. This is what makes everything worthwhile. Knowing that I am making a positive impact on their lives is what motivates me. I’m very proud of the way the team delivers exceptional care to all residents and their loved ones. Seeing that every day makes Heathfield House an amazing place to work.
