As Senior Care Assistant, you will assist the Home Manager, Clinical Lead and Registered Nurses in their professional and administrative duties. You will also ensure that standards are maintained and that adequate cover is provided. Senior Care Assistants are required to work at nights, weekends and Bank Holidays by agreement with the Home Manager.
As a Care Assistant at Heathfield House, you will participate in the assessment and implementation of care provision for each individual service user. You will also work with colleagues as part of a team to establish and maintain high standards of care, which can be measured as outcomes for each service user.
In this role, you will provide nursing assessment and care on a day-to-day basis, working collaboratively with all colleagues and disciplines to ensure a high standard of care.
You will ensure the clean and hygiene maintenance of the home, whilst keeping a high standard of appearance to contribute to the quality of care and lifestyle afforded to each service user. This is particularly applicable to each service users privacy and dignity and in respect of each service user’s personal possessions.
You will be asked to log and cook main meals using Apetito meal plan (meals are already prepared). To prepare and cook homemade cakes, biscuits, soups and light tea. To assist in the economic use of materials.
In this role you should be aware of the service users laundry needs and ensure that every service user enjoys clean and well-maintained laundry and that this is presented to the required standard.
